We announce the death of Michael Garrage of South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 84. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph R. Garrage and Frances M. Garrage (Maike); his son Michael T. Garrage; and his siblings, Patricia Joyce, Mary Girvin, Marge Kline, Sally Bowman, Shirley Meert and Joseph F. Garrage.
He is survived by: his son Timothy J. Garrage of South Bend; his grandchildren, Joseph Garrage, Chelsey Garrage, Zachary Nemeth (Allison) and Brianna Pancek (Alex); his brother John Garrage; and his great grandchildren, Jordan "Pork Chop" Astorga, Charles, Noah Nemeth and Benjamin Pancek.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Kaniewski Funeral Home (3545 N Bendix Dr, South Bend, IN 46628). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in Michael's honor to The Hospice Foundation.
