With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michaelene Lane of South Bend, Indiana, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on July 16, 2023 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Michaelene Lane to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald L. Lane; her son James Beck Lane; her grandson Jack Lane; her aunt Virginia Koch (Harold); and her brother Dean Heintzelman.
She is survived by: her children, April S. Lane (Phillip Dobbins) of South Bend and Eric Lane (Trish) of Granger; her grandchildren, Alexandra, Madeleine Dolz-Lane, Charles and Jensen Lane; and her siblings, Darlene Hite, Kathleen Cornelis (Joe) and Joseph Heintzelman (Karen) of South Bend. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She volunteered with Camp Evergreen and campaigned for organ donation, of which she was an avid supporter.
