He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wiegand and Mildred Wiegand (Grise); and his brother Dennis Wiegand. He is survived by: his wife Becky Hagquist; and his children, Julie Koszyk (Erv), Kurt Wiegand (Rebecca), Eric Wiegand (Lisa) and James Molnar (Judy). He is also survived by two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
