It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Omar Alejandro Nelson of South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on January 30, 2023, at the age of 37, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Scott Nelson; his grandparents, Charles Leslie Nelson and Lois Nelson (Jennings); his uncle David Nelson; his aunt Maria "Elena" Pereira; and his close friend Kyle Kocsis.
He is survived by: his mother Josefa Barrows (Richard); his daughter Eliana Nelson; his sister Leslie Robles (Jorge); his grandparents, Maria and Trinidad Garcia; his nephews, Ezekiel Robles and Ezra Nelson; and his girlfriend Amanda Smith. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, step-sisters (husbands), step-brother (fiancé), step-nieces & nephews, and many friends.
