She was predeceased by: her mother Valeria; her husband Paul M. Sloan; and her son Herbert A. Sloan. She is survived by: her children, Judith Taelman (Mark) of South Bend, Steven Sloan (Lauren) of Cornelius, NC and David Sloan of Seattle, WA; her grandson Christopher Taelman (Anne); her great grandchildren, Sara and Ethan of Silver Lake, IN; and her grandchildren, Michael Taelman of Milwaukee, WI, Kaitlin O'Neal (Mason) of Indianapolis, Nate, Brayden and Christian Sloan of Cornelius, NC.. She is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, 16 great-nieces and nephews, and 8 great-great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Pat requested that friends and loved ones perform a kind deed for a neighbor, share a meal with someone in need, or donate to a local food charity in her memory.
