He was predeceased by: his father Warren Eugene "Gene"; his brothers, Robert and James McKnight; his father-in-law Clifford Searfoss; and his brothers-in-law, Thomas Dean, Jack Blue and Greg Bellinger.
He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Al Kassem (Murad) of Flower Mound, TX; his grandsons, Dylan Al Kassem and Luke Al Kassem; his siblings, Judy Doyle (Jim) of South Bend, Susan Dean of Mishawaka, Patty Horvat of Mishawaka, Glen Wills of South Bend, Dave Wills (Pam) of South Bend and Michael Wills (Pam) of South Bend; his mother-in-law Juanita Searfoss; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Andrews (Kenn) of Granger, Jodi Kalka (Jim) of South Bend, Diana Middleton of South Bend, Steve Searfoss (Cyndy) of South Bend and Scott Searfoss (Deenee) of South Bend. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
