He is survived by: his wife Shirley Vargyas; his children, Michael, Ellen Sommer of South Bend and Mary Riser (Dave) of Clemmons, NC.; his siblings, Leonard, Ronald Sommer (Evelyn) of Fort Wayne, IN and Barbara Sommer of Mishawaka; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Sommer of Kokomo, IN, Adam Sommer (Leslie) of Bloomington, IN, Christina Knosp (John) of Kokomo, IN, Daniel Sommer (Jaqueline) of Kokomo, IN, Melissa Ann Wilson, Michele Wilson Moreno, Kevin Fautz (Cassie) of Mishawaka, Zachary Riser (Ali) of Clemmons, NC, Patrick Riser of Clemmons, NC, Andrew Riser of Clemmons, NC, Elizabeth Riser of Durham, NC and Joseph Riser of Houston, TX.. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
