He was predeceased by : his son Michael; his parents, Joseph Kil and Anna Kil (Rosiejewski); and his siblings, Roman, Henry, Chester, Wanda, Irene, Alice, Salomea, Henrietta, Anita, Helen and Harriet.

He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth L. (Betty Roberts); his sons, Joseph, Gregory and Paul (Maria); his daughters-in-law, Diane and Monica; his grandchildren, Justine, Andrew, Madeline, Alexander, Abraham, Susanna, Angie and Natalie; his great grandchildren, Noah, Liliana and Alice; his sisters, Anne McMahon and Virginia Pulaski; and his son Boy Scout Troop. He is also survived by his father-in-law, brothers, and sons.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A rosary was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 4:30 PM at the Kaniewski Funeral Home (3545 N Bendix Dr, South Bend, IN 46628). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Jude Catholic Church (19704 Johnson Rd, South Bend, IN 46614).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Center for Hospice Care at cfhcare.org, or to the Parkinson's Foundation at parkinson.org.
