Rita J. Derda Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita J. Derda of South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on June 12, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Zalas and Helen Zalas (Bolka); her siblings, Henrietta Sideritz, Ben, Arthur and Ervin "Gus" Zalas; her sisters-in-law, Helen and Evelyn Zalas; and her son-in-law Ron Biskupski.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah LaVallee of Auburn, Jean Leszczynski (John) of South Bend, Rosemary Gudates (Robert) of Mukwonago, WI, Carol Biskupski of South Bend and Patricia Lesniewicz of South Bend; and her grandchildren, Michelle Neikirk, John Leszczynski, Jr., Rob Gudates (Taylor), Christine Schroder (Michael), Brian Biskupski (Mindy), Andrew Biskupski, Kyle Lesniewicz and Elise O'Brien. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
