She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Buziak and Blanche Buziak; her husband George J. Tarr; and her siblings, Clem Buziak, Barnard Buziak, Val Buziak and Genevieve Dyszkiewicz.

She is survived by: her children, Kenneth (Joyce McDonald), Thomas (Rob Woronoff) and Kimberly (David Calcutta); her grandsons, Anthony and Michael; her brother Chester Buziak (Maria); and her nephews, Carl Dyszkiewicz (Jane) and Paul Dyszkiewicz (Pat). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Rita Joan Tarr may be made out to St. Adalbert's Church and Center for Hospice Care.
