He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert N. Cloud and Alice A. Athearn (Warner); his wife Wilda Mae Cloud (Brinkley); his granddaughter Amanda Comer; and his sister Marian "Skippy" K. Erdy.
He is survived by: his sister Berdine Dent of Winchester, KY.; his children, Nona Leah Hare (John) of Warsaw, IN, Robert Cloud, Jr. of Buchanan, MI, Vernon Cloud (Beth) of Buchanan, MI and Barry A. Cloud of San Francisco, CA.; and his grandchildren, Alice Hiniker (Bill) of Buchanan, MI, Michelle Cloud of Reno, NV, Jennifer Williams (Andy) of South Bend, IN, Chrissy McCarthy of Oregon and Veronica Cloud (Andy Bestul) of Roeland Park, KS.. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Southlawn Cemetery (61430 US-31, South Bend, IN 46614).
