He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Hammond and Leota Hammond (Timmerman). He is survived by: his wife Elsie Hammond (Borgula); his children, Julie Ellet (Daryl) and James Hammond (Mary Ellen Wernette); and his grandchildren, Alex, Chris, Corey and Ashley (Daniel).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church (2320 E Jefferson Blvd, South Bend, IN 46617). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park (375 W Cleveland Rd, Granger, IN 46530).
