He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvis Mayfield and Emma Mayfield (Vanhulle); his sons, Robert Mayfield Jr. and Chris D. Mayfield; his son-in-law Ron McCartney; and his brother Calvis Mayfield Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Mejer; his daughter Pamela McCartney; his grandchildren, Cassandra Hitchcock (Scott), Jeremy McCartney (Ashley), Leah Butler, Robert Mayfield III (Lena) and Meredith Mayfield; and his brothers, Jerry Mayfield and Rodney Mayfield. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lions Club International or the National Kidney Foundation.
