He is survived by: his wife Margie Schmeltz (Couch); his children, Dan Schmeltz (Amy), Yvonne Schmeltz and Roy Dowdy (Tawny); his siblings, Randy Schmeltz (Beth) and Lisa Rose (Ron); his nieces, Audrey Conley (Josiah), Eliza Stella (Brian), Camille Rose (Robert Walsh) and Anna Schmeltz (Sophia); and his aunt Wanda Jones.
