He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Swanson and Anna Swanson; and his wife Ollene Dagmar Olsen Swanson. He is survived by: his siblings, Dorothy Swanson Melander and Edward Swanson (Kathleen); his children, Eric Swanson (Kelly) and Kristen Swanson Smith; his close friend Susan Sharp; his grandchildren, Sarah Swanson Gallagher (Scott), Hannah Swanson Westergaard (Daniel), Colin Swanson, Peter Smith, Annika Smith and Harrison Smith; his great grandchildren, Jack, Charlotte Gallagher, Rory and Anne Westergaard; Michael and Erik Sharp.
