It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Maurice Matthys of South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on February 23, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Matthys and Margaret Matthys; his sister Doris (Bill Mitchell); and his in-laws, Joseph and Ester Horvath.
He is survived by: his wife Bev; his brother Gerald Matthys (Jan); his children, Sue Cinnamon (Marvin), Sandy Roob (Mitch), Sheryl Matthys (Todd Connor), Steve Matthys (Suzi) and Scott Matthys (Julie); his grandchild Lee Szczypski; and his children, Trey, Reagan Roob, Kai, Keegan Connor, Nick, Grant, Luke Matthys and Kyle Matthys.
