We are sad to announce that on December 16, 2023, at the age of 59, Scott Tarter of South Bend, Indiana, born in Huntington, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward L. Tarter and Bonnie Tarter (Juergensmeier); and his grandparents, Robert, Neal Tarter, John and Agnes Jurgensmeier.
He is survived by: his stepmother Helen Tarter of Fort Wayne, IN; his children, Christopher Tarter of Elizabeth Town, KY and Priscilla Tarter of Fort Wayne, IN; his siblings, Ed Tarter (Anne) of Huntington, IN, Rob Tarter (Andrea) of Louisville, KY and Tammy Martin of Huntington, IN; his stepsiblings, Jerry McDowell, Sue McDowell of Fort Wayne, IN and Diane McDowell of Fort Wayne, IN; his granddaughter Sophia Tarter; his siblings' children, Dani, Erin, JonBenet, Heather, Chad and Cory; and his great-niece Hailey. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
