It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sewonie Mincy Sr. (South Bend, Indiana), who passed away on July 30, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Mamie Wigfall Mincy; his parents, Rueben and Carrie; and his siblings, Gatson, Rufinis, Silas, Riley, Henry, Gary, Martin, Catherine, Ruby and Sally.

He is survived by: his sister Ida; his children, Sewonie Jr., Perry (Cora), Dewayne, Gregory, Michael, Alan and Bettye Sue; his daughters-in-law, Cora and Karla; his grandchildren, Syrena, Asyria, Larenda, Darrius, Michael and Ayunna; and his sisters-in-law, Mary and Ruth.
