Sophie Stella Gaddey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2023, at the age of 101, Sophie Stella Gaddey of South Bend, Indiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sophie Stella Gaddey to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Piotrowski and Stella Piotrowski (Polak); her former husband Walter S. Glon, Sr.; her son Walter S. Glon, Jr.; her siblings, Jane Jerzakowski, Carrie Glon and Stanley Piotrowski, Jr.; and her husband William L. Gaddey.
She is survived by: her daughter Lorraine Giltner (George) of Mishawaka, IN; and her daughter-in-law Deanna Glon, Jr. of Thermopolis, WY. She is also survived by four granddaughters and one special and favorite grandson, 12 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In her retirement years, she volunteered for RSVP and Busy Hands and in 2007 she received the President's Volunteer Service Award for completing over 4, 000 hours in 2 years.
