He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Szczerba and Charlotte Szczerba (Haj). He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Lauridsen (Peter) and Michael Szczerba (Jessica); his grandchildren, Hannah Lauridsen and Joseph Szczerba; his sister Lorraine Kuntz (Bill); and his nephews, Bill and Neil.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Zahoran Funeral Home (1826 Kemble Ave, South Bend, IN 46613). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
