He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Matthew Hayes and Evelyn Hayes (Warren); his spouse Francis Armey; and his brothers, Warren and Kevin Hayes.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus Hall (553 E Washington St, South Bend, IN 46601).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Steve's name may be made to Pet Refuge.
