With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas J. Montgomery of South Bend, Indiana, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 27, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Luella (Conkey) and Thomas Wade Boyd Montgomery; his sister Roberta; and his brother-in-law Bud Gray. He is survived by: his children, Pamela J. Smith (J. Christopher) of South Bend, John J. Montgomery (Maria) of South Bend and Thomas J. Montgomery of South Bend; his grandchildren, Riley Laudeman, Olivia Montgomery, Victoria Montgomery, Tradd Smith, Ailsa Smith and Aisling Smith; and his siblings, Lloyd Montgomery (Pam) of Cassopolis, MI, Alan Montgomery (Dee) of Jensen Beach, FL, Don Hill (Shar) of Leesburg, FL and Joan Imes (late Mike) of Thurmont, MD..

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Thomas may be donated to Palmer Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46614 to help defray the cost of services.
