He is survived by: his wife Anna; his children, Michael Stein, Laura Barnes (Dan) and Patrick Stein (Beth); his grandchildren, Andrew, Nathan, Christopher, Abigail, Jonah, Isabella and Poppy; his brother Robert; and his sister-in-law Rosemary Stein.
