She was predeceased by: her parents, Verner Mulhaupt and Violet Mulhaupt (Knabenshue); her husband William McElheny; her grandchildren, Melissa Collins and Michael Collins; and her siblings, Naomi, Marjorie, Genevieve and Richard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandra Collins (Donald) and Nancy Banghart; and her grandchildren, Tracey Collins, Joseph Collins and Jeremy Monges (Angela). She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial Contributions in Verna's name may be made to the Center for Hospice, 501 Comfort Place Mishawaka.
