It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon F. Manthay (South Bend, Indiana), who passed away on November 20, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Manthay and Adeline Manthay; his wife Mary Lou; and his children, Gary and Susan O'Brien (Shawn).

He is survived by: his children, Mark and Joyce; his son-in-law Shawn O'Brien; and his grandchildren, Kate and Kieran O'Brien.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be made to Sacred Heart Parish at Notre Dame, IN 46556.
