He was predeceased by: his parents, James Seward and Ozetta Ewing (Jones); his children, Tracy Young and Dale Young; and his siblings, Edith Jones, Jackie Seward, Carole Seward, Keith Seward, Lloyd Jones, Jerome Seward and Ronnie Seward.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta "Elaine" Seward; his daughters, Crystal Merriweather of South Bend and Antoinette Matlock of South Bend; and his siblings, Myra Newsome, Carmen Jones, Debra Givens (Dennis), Diane Seward, Janeth White, Linda Seward, James Seward, Bernard Irby and Ricky Irby. He is also survived by grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
