He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Owens and Mazie Owens (Johnson); his sisters, Irene Brown and Anna Lee Stephens; and his niece Pamela Sue Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Owens of South Milford; his daughter Michelle; his son-in-law Michael Strater of South Milford; and his nephews, Dennis Halsey, Gary Halsey, Danny Jo Stephens, Kenneth Freed and Michael Freed.
In lieu of flowers preferred memorials are to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
