He was predeceased by: his father Harold "Bud" Merchant. He is survived by: his mother Arlene Merchant (Davis); his sons, Tony Merchant (Kayla) and Adam Merchant (Hannah); his grandchildren, Tori Merchant, Jackson Merchant, Maddison Evans, Lani Merchant, Kennedy Merchant, Lydia Abbott, Piper Merchant, Maverick Sturgeon, Madison Sturgeon and Mason Sturgeon; and his brother Don Merchant (Tracy).

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hudson Hill Cemetery.
