It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daryl James Harkrider of Spencer, Indiana, born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, who passed away on May 25, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Harkrider and Donna M. Eldridge (Sowers); his son James (Harkrider); his siblings, Jerry Harkrider, Debra Jones and Brenda Harkrider; and his father-in-law Bob "Obie" Oberholtzer.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Harkrider (Oberholtzer); his daughters, Maddysun, Annabell and Jennifer Harkrider; his daughter-in-law Rebecca Harkrider; his grandchildren, Tyler Smoot (Brittany) and Jarett Staten; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Sophia and Karson Smoot; his siblings, Dan Harkrider (Joyce), Denise Cummings, Rebecca Pearman (Tom), David Eldridge (Michelle), Mark Eldridge (Karen), Mark Harkrider, Rick Harkrider (Richelle) and Kevin Harkrider (Marcy); his sister-in-law Susan Sherfield (Jeff); and his mother-in-law Anna Oberholtzer.
