The memory of Freida Smith of Spencer, Indiana, who passed away on December 12, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Woodrow Burton and Audrey Burton (Gilmore); her husband Loris Smith; her granddaughter Angela Dawn Smith; and her siblings, Donna Burton and Larry Burton.
She is survived by: her son Jerry Smith (Mary Ann); her grandson James Smith (Rhonda); her great grandchildren, Matthew Smith and Michael Jacobson; and her sister-in-law Pam Burton of Bedford. She is also survived by four nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home (105 N Montgomery St, Spencer, IN 47460). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church or to a charity of one's choice.
