He was predeceased by: his parents, Alan Hackworthy and Theresa Hackworthy (Umhoefer); his wife Cindy; and his brother David Hackworthy. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Williams (Tony), Deb Zellers (Todd) and Amy Stephenson (Brian); his grandchildren, John Williams (Rachel), Joe Williams, Anna Zellers, Ben Zellers, Emily Paul and Alex Paul; and his great grandchild Ruby Lynn Williams.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, November 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church (300 W Hillside Ave, Spencer, IN 47460).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Hackworthy Family Community Grant Fund at the Owen County Community Foundation or to St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Spencer.
