Marilyn K. DeFord Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 28, 2022, at the age of 88, Marilyn K. DeFord of Spencer, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Wallace "Shep" Sheppard and Philena Dorothea Sheppard (McDowell); her daughter Kay Lynn DeFord; her grandson Luke Eaton; and her brother Stanley Sheppard.

She is survived by : her children, Beth Eaton (Bret) and Wally DeFord (Kathy); her grandchildren, Kayla Eaton, Tyler DeFord (Bailee), Darby DeFord and Haley Barger; her great grandchildren, Brooklyn Welding, Cade Eaton, Andrew Heaton, Jackson Heaton, Mason Frank, Everly Lientz and Easton Lientz; her great great grandchildren, Amari Ruiz-Eaton and Ciana Eaton; her sister-in-law Sheila Sheppard; and her niece Melinda Steel (John). She is also survived by many friends and extended family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Owen County Community Foundation in care of the Owen County CASA Fund, the Jack R. DeFord Library Fund, or the Owen Valley Christian Fellowship Church.
