She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph E. Elias and Madeleine M. Elias (Verbiest); her husband Harold E. Schaefer; and her siblings, Albert Elias (Mona), Robert Elias, Leona Kennedy (Glen), Mary Mull (Charles) and Rosemary Johnson (Rolland).
She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Neumann of Spicewood, TX, Sherry Yoder (Jerry) of Spencerville and Patty Schaefer of Indianapolis. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 3:30 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Joe Church of Christ (508 Jefferson St, St Joe, IN 46785). A burial will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Scipio Cemetery (23800 IN-37, Harlan, IN 46743). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Joe Church of Christ (508 Jefferson St, St Joe, IN 46785).
