We are sad to announce that on June 26, 2020, at the age of 91, Walter Francis McCormack Jr. of Spiceland, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter McCormack and Lola McCormack (Wechter); and his sister Martha McCormack. He is survived by : his wife Jo Ann McCormack (Coffin); his children, Frances "Frankie" Dawson (Gary), Sally Wilson (Marc) and Kevin McCormack (Roberta); and his grandchildren, Shannon Smith, Shelly Boone, Esther McDivitt, Aaron Dawson, Nathan Dawson, Sara Wilson, Ian Wilson, Tristram McCormack and Caitie McCormack. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.

Bill Bergmann wrote a sympathy message

“Girls, and you are still girls to me, the few years I spent teaching with Walt made m,e a better teacher for the rest of my career. His sense of humor and ability to connect with students became a cornerstone for the next 30 years. I believe after our second year together we had a mutual respect for each others abilities. I know you will miss him. II would be there today except for the craziness going on. Bill Bergmann”
