He was predeceased by: his parents, Creston Peyton and Olive Peyton (Chambers); his former wife Linda Peyton; his wife Patricia Peyton; and his brother Doug Peyton.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Peyton II (Tina) of Nashville, TN and Laura Whittle (Gary) of New Castle; his grandchildren, Justin Peyton (Jessica), Natasha Stoneking (Jeff) of Nashville, TN, Michael Whittle of New Castle and Cresta Wickes of New Castle; his great grandchildren, Jasper Whittle, Ella, Colton Moore, Alex, Isaac Peyton, Caroline and Carson Stoneking; his stepdaughter Gina Lowe (Michael) of New Castle; his sister Dorthea Porter of Seal Beach, CA; his sibling's children, Jay Midkiff of Seal Beach, CA, Brian Peyton of New Castle and Cindy Peyton of Rushville; and his siblings-in-law, Sonny Carter (Pat), Mike Carter (Lynne), Joyce Papenhaus and Shirley Ellson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service (3406 S Memorial Dr, New Castle, IN 47362). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
