He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Eckert and Mary Eckert (Norric); and his stepsiblings, Jim Roettger, Lola Philpot and Carol Astrike.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Eckert (Carter); his children, Ladonna Griffith (Terry), Gretchen Arterberry (Randy), Dorinda Payne (Brad) and Jeremy Eckert; and his brother Mike Eckert (Pat). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
