John leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Forbes and Rosemary Forbes (Horner); and his brother Melvin Forbes. He is survived by: his sister Wanda Deckard (Keith); his daughters, Sarah (Forbes), Kluesner (Jon) and Cynthia Forbes; and his grandchildren, Hunter and Hannah Kluesner.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Holmes Memorial Chapel (642 W Silver St, Sullivan, IN 47882).
