She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wilmer Borders and Roxie Lee Borders (Estes); and her sisters, Celia Kenner and Melva LeDoux. She is survived by: her husband James Buford Smith; her children, Lynn Renette Boone (Mike) of Dugger, IN, Celeste Turpen (Danny) of Brazil, IN, Kayla Hale (Allen) of Dugger, IN and James Lee Smith (Dixie) of Wilmington; her sister Peggy Ogden of Huntsville, AL; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Boone (Lauren), Travis Turpen (Emily), Brooke Wimmer (Willie), Cara Gambill (Ryan), Shelby Buterbaugh (Ben), Cali Rockwell (Kaleb) and Sara Dalton (Jake). She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Woodland Bible Camp or Words of Life Radio Ministry.
