He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles August Coats and Wilma Esther Coats (Turner); and his brother Kelly Coats. He is survived by: his wife Alice Coats (Bear); his children, Mark Coats (Angi) of Summitville, Kevin Coats of Summitville, Caryl Coats of Fort Wayne and Cheryl Coats of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Sandra "Lilli" Coats (Adam Zgool), Quenten "Bo" Coats, Alisynn Coats and Scott CoatsSister-Deanna Coats; and his sisters-in-law, Darlene Coats of Summitville and Lynn Crowe (Jim) of AndersonNieces.
