He was predeceased by: his wife Ginger Hartman; his parents, Anna Hartman and Leo Hartman; his siblings, Jerry Hartman, Phyllis Voegele and Rita Hartman; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Schuman, Gary Dieselberg, Richard Harsh, Glen Meeks, Jim Fritsch, Mary Hartman and Jenny Fritsch.
He is survived by: his children, Timothy L. Hartman (Penny), Scott A. Hartman (Diane), Amy K. Jackson (John Buschur) and Andrew W. Hartman (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Ashley, Lauren (John), Zac (Scarlett), Kyle, Joshua (Taylor), Taylor (Laura), Molly (Justin), Tasha (Jared), Dakota, Kateri, Peyton and Wyatt; and his siblings, Shirley Schuman, Janice Dieselberg, Linda Zimmerman (Gary), Carol Harsh and Sylvia Meeks. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
A rosary will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Andres-Wuestefeld Funeral Home (25615 IN-1, Guilford, IN 47022). Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church (6461 E St Nicholas Dr, Sunman, IN 47041). The military honors will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery (6461 E St Nicholas Dr, Sunman, IN 47041).
Donations can be made to Sunman Area Life Squad and St. Nicholas School Heritage Project and will be accepted at the visitation or can be mailed to the funeral home.
