She was predeceased by: her parents, Ancil Fisher and Mary Glee Fisher (Bowland); her husband Melvin Hamilton; and her brother Robert "Bob" Fisher. She is survived by: her children, Keith Hamilton (Julie) of Lafayette, Sheri Pemberton (Charles) of Prince Lake, Brian Hamilton (Shellee) of Kokomo and Robert Hamilton (Susan) of Amboy; and her grandchildren, Jordan Hamilton (Kristie), Alexa Randall (Derrick), Alyvia Meguschar (Will), Aaron Hamilton (Lindsey), Eric Hamilton (Gabbie), Ryan Hamilton, Courtney Sohn (Charles), Joshua Woodcock, Brandi Harmon and Brooke Simpson. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made through the Laird-Eddy Funeral Home to Alzheimer's Association.
