With solemn reverence, we commemorate Catherine Louise Hoopingarner of Syracuse, Indiana, whose life came to an end on October 8, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though Catherine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Catherine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Pinkerton and Adelia Christena Pinkerton (Krull); her husband Stanley Hoopingarner; and her sister Dorothy Tucker. She is survived by: her children, Elaine Bokhart (Donald) of Syracuse, Connie Houin (Herman) and Steven Hoopingarner (Darcy) of Columbia City. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
