We announce the death of Charla Oviedo of Syracuse, Indiana, who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 67. Charla will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Nissley and Lois Nissley. She is survived by: her children, Irene A. Oviedo, Brenda K. Oviedo, Rafael Oviedo (Latoya Wright) and Ruben Oviedo (Erika Anaya); the father of her children Zeferino Oviedo of Syracuse, IN.; her grandchildren, Sherman, Natalie, Olivia, Cheyenne, Camerone, Ruben Jr., Penelope, Kattaleya, Victoria, Jele, Kristjan, Jakub, Kalub, Wyatt and Izabella; and her siblings, Laural Nissley (Geraldine) of Elkhart, IN, Cecil Nissley (Cindy) of Washington, IA, Verton Nissley (Annie) and Loreen Hostetler (Steven) of Millersburg, Ohio. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Redpath-Fruth-Byers Funeral Home (225 Argonne Rd, Warsaw, IN 46580). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
