With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce M. Selvey of Syracuse, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 25, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Joyce departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Joyce. Though Joyce may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald "Pete" Straw and Grace Thelma Kistler; her son Brad Alan Smith; her husbands, Wilbur Smith and Bill Selvey; and her sister Sandra "Tudie" Homer.
She is survived by: her son Terry Lee Smith (Kim Marcadis); her sister Carol Minarik; her grandchildren, Sydney Cecil (Chad Cecil) and Sarah Smith; and her great grandchildren, Calvin, Thea, Adler and Forrest.
