He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Sloan and Lizzy Sloan (Burkholder); his daughter Brenda Stover; and his sisters, Carolyn Evans and Norma Sponseller.
He is survived by: his wife Violet Sloan of Syracuse; his daughters, Amy Sloan of Syracuse and LeeAnna Wiggs (Eric) of Pierceton; and his friend Jay Hess (Sue). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren.
