He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin C. Schlotterback and Mary J. Schlotterback (Kitson). He is survived by: his wife Jackie; his children, Matthew of New Paris, Andrew of Middlebury and Shelley Holderman (Bryan) of Warsaw; his grandchildren, Allison Perkey (Jeff), Brittany White (Jake), Kade, Quinn and Carter; and his brothers, Victor Schlotterback (Jan) of Dayton and Robert Kitson (Judy) of Syracuse. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
