He was predeceased by: his parents, Orman Burns and Lillian Burns (Connor); his wife Ada Burns (Galey); his sister Sharon Huffman; and his brother-in-law Leon Huffman.
He is survived by: his children, Shelly (Burns), Smith (Terry) and James Burns (Cassandra); and his grandchildren, Jessica McCubbins, Nathan Smith, Sadie Burns and Oliver Burns. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
