He was predeceased by: his parents, Elery V. Simpson and Evelyn L. Simpson (Howell); his wife Linda Simpson; and his great grandchild Steven Emery. He is survived by: his children, Susie Entwistle (Brian), Jeff Simpson (Jennifer), Ryan Simpson (Sandra) and Eric Simpson (Holly); his siblings, Sharon Garner (Alan), Larry Simpson (Ramona), Kathy Grimes (Monte), Rick Simpson (Dorothy), Deb Wiedenhoeft and Tim Simpson; his grandchildren, Ashley Westerman (Chuck), Kirra Entwistle, Charlotte Entwistle, Jackson Froning, Maddie Simpson, Tyler Baur, Dylan Simpson, Xavier Simpson and Maddox Simpson; his great grandchildren, Xavier Richardt and Timmy Richardt; and his niece Joann Morgan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel (1139 12th St, Tell City, IN 47586). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cannelton Volunteer Fire Department and United Way's Angel Tree.
