He was predeceased by: his parents, David Winfield and Lala Thomas (Snider); his siblings, Mary Fuqua, Grace Weatherholt, John, David and Dewey Thomas; and his great grandchild Judson Lynn Farris.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Thomas of Grandview; his sons, Bob Thomas (Peggy) of Leopold, Richard Thomas (Renee) of Newtonville and Chris Thomas (Stephanie) of Cannelton; his grandchildren, Dane Thomas (Taylor), Wendy East (Brent), Sally Boyd (Danny), Robbi Duvall (Cortdell), Maggie Lynn Farris (Justin), Garrett Thomas (Leah), Mason Thomas, Colby Thomas (Kaitlyn) and Breanna Thomas; his great grandchildren, Eryn Oden (Luke), Ryder, Raiden, Aurora Thomas, Cody, Daniel Boyd, Houston Thomas, Tucker Roesler, Brennen, Breckin East, Amelia Duvall, Deacon, Asher Farris and Granger Thomas; and his great great grandchild Esther Oden.
