She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Lee and Dorothy Thomason (Vincent); and her siblings, Nancy, Pat, Bill and Ronnie.

She is survived by: her husband Brian Boxx; her sons, Dirk Dempsey, Shawn Dempsey and Steve Dempsey; her grandchildren, Kayla Patmore, Stevee Dempsey, Britney Dempsey, Amanda Jones, Derek Dempsey, Michael Dempsey, Trinity Dempsey and Haley Dempsey; and her siblings, Gordon, Mickey and Lewis. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
